Overall incremental development of Agriculture

Overall in the above title means the broad development of agriculture from seeding to harvesting, spraying, reaping, processing, selling, marketing, irrigation, yielding, cultivating, packaging, storing….everything.
Quality of agriculture products is decreasing day by day. The main reason behind it being the improper and/or excessive usage of the pesticides, fertilizers. Farmers should choose green manure, organic manure and natural fertilizers over synthetic one that depletes the quality of soil. They decrease the fertility of soil. Farmers should adopt precision farming if they are dealing with the man-made fertilizers. Most of the farmer’s land is getting unfertile with span of life due to earlier and improper use of fertilizers. In India, most of the farmers are dependent on rain for irrigation and still majority of the farmers lack modern farming systems…like drip system, sprinkler system, micro-irrigation and more.
There is a need of wise strategies to be made for improvement in Indian agriculture as most of the farmers have traditional thinking that won’t change easily regarding to the technology. So, both technology as well as traditional farming practices should go side by side in order to change the face of the Indian agriculture. Also govt.should makes policies regarding the latest technologies and machinery like providing subsidies.

Agricultural solution for soil and plant nutrition:
We are all aware of the current scenario of the Indian agriculture. If the problems are not tackled fastly, then this scenario is going to become only worse (depletion of groundwater, low quality of agriculture produce, groundwater pollution….etc.).
Soil and Plant Nutrition:
As human needs of food and nutrition keeps on changing according to the age group, so shall the plant needs change and must be taken care off. Which plant needs how much sunlight, type of soil, temperature, humidity, water requirement, nutrition requirements? We need to develop a database system that measures all these parameters responsible for the proper development of any plant. This system should be updated after a certain interval of time according to the needs. This system should be available to all the farmers with latest technology fed in. There should be also availability of expert councillors regarding the problem in farming. Every village, each farmers should be linked to an expert ultra-modern laboratory where his problems can be tackled with expert solutions. This expertise system will be responsible for achieving better yield of improved varieties at lowest cost.
Krishi Mitra:
Indian Govt. should openly do marketing of Krishi Mitra. Although it has already been in different parts of the country but still not able to reach to all the farmers. Krishi Mitra is a new system that provides the farmers with proper knowledge of farming techniques in local languages for ease of the farmers, regarding the modernization in farming practices. In 21st century, Indian farmers can’t meet their demands with agriculture as occupation. This trend needs a serious change. Agriculture can change the economic situation of any country if done properly with minimum cost.
Turn Agriculture into an INDUSTRY!!!
When agriculture will become an industry then there would be a lot of employment created which will change the situation of unemployment in country leading to the development of our country. No more people will have to come to big cities in order to find job as they will provided jobs in their hometowns only due to agricultural industry.
This will lead to the decrease in overcrowding rate in cities and towns. They would not have to leave their home towns, villages in search of work. Most of the people coming to the cities want to settle there only and never returning to their villages. Also if they work in agricultural industries that will ultimately lead to the increase in production of the food as farmers would be excited to get more profit for their crops due to overall positive change in the economic situation of country.
Government should monitor all the functions from seeding to harvesting to selling from time to time. Although Govt. is doing it now already but should take it at an upper level. Every support should be provided to the farmer and should be given the reasonable price for his produce. India is full of diversities of agricultural land, soil type, environment weather, different farming capacities of our farmers. So, it is very difficult for farmers to get proper price with respect to his land and soil type conditions. One overall policy cannot be helpful for all crops, for all weathers, soil types etc. So the policy making should be done regionally and locally so that they can make policies according to their land conditions, which would much better.Monthly agriculture workshops should be organised at Village levels or at Panchayat levels to achieve maximum yield with minimum cost with use of latest technology.
